Graduating as a medical doctor or a Fellow is a huge achievement, and it is a privilege to be able to celebrate with you as you help to contribute towards equitable health outcomes.
To mark this momentous achievement in becoming an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander doctor and/or Fellow, all AIDA members are gifted with a hand-painted AIDA stethoscope upon graduating from medical school and/or becoming a Fellow. The AIDA stethoscope symbolises the history and future of First Nations medicine as each additional doctor and Fellow works to change the landscape of healthcare across Australia and normalise our mob being medical professionals.
Traditionally AIDA presents the appropriate stethoscope to members during a special ceremony at the gala dinner during our annual conference. If you would like to receive your stethoscope and be part of our renowned presentation, fill in the form on our website below.
