Applications are now open for the role of Mental Health Commissioner, Queensland Mental Health Commission. Reporting to the Minister for Health and Ambulance Services, the Commissioner performs the role of Chief Executive of the Commission and is responsible for leading the Queensland Mental Health Commission, consisting of approximately 26 permanent staff and 24 temporary positions.
The Commission is an independent statutory body established under the Queensland Mental Health Commission Act 2013 (the Act). The role of the Commission is to drive ongoing reform towards a more integrated, evidence-based, recovery-oriented mental health and alcohol and other drugs system in Queensland.
