The Student Representative Council (SRC) students are elected by their local universities to be their voice and advocate for them.
The AIDA SRC contributes to a national community that fosters growth of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander medical students nationally.
Working alongside likeminded individuals, who are advocates and strong cultural leaders, has made the mission and aim of AIDA’s SRC come to fruition.
Our aims are:
– Promote Indigenous ways of being, doing and knowing
– Advocate for student needs and wellbeing
– Improving medical education delivery
– Improving Indigenous medical student recruitment and retention within medical schools.
Through these aims, and our outstanding representatives, we have a strong national cultural identity as medical students fighting for the same cause.
Active AIDA Indigenous Medical Students can self-nominate OR nominate an active AIDA Indigenous Medical Student Member from their University. Nominations are now closed, except for Macquarie University and Deakin University,
