Community member opportunities – State and Territory Boards of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

The National Registration and Accreditation Scheme (the National Scheme) regulates more than 920,000
registered health practitioners and over 180,000 registered students across 16 health professions.

Fifteen health profession boards and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) work together to deliver the National Scheme.

Vacancies for one community member is arising on each of the NSW and ACT Boards of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

Our community members are key to making decisions that put community and public safety first. They are active and engaged health consumers or advocates with lived experience and strong community connections who can represent the needs, perspectives and expectations of the community.

Position details: The Territory Boards work in partnership with Ahpra to make registration and notification
(complaint) decisions about individual practitioners, based on national policies and standards set by the
National Boards.
