Gamadji nanggit means ‘emerging leader’ in Woi Wurrung, the language of the Wurundjeri people, and this scholarship is designed to support the leadership skills of the next generation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander psychiatrists.
Scholarship recipients join the AMA Victoria Emerging Leader Professional Development Program, which supports early career doctors to develop skills and strategies for enacting effective leadership in their everyday work, and preparing them to step into leadership positions in the future.
