Many referrals are returned due to missing or incomplete information, causing avoidable delays, longer wait times, increased patient anxiety, and added pressure on already stretched services.
To support GPs, Cancer Council Victoria has developed a new Familial Cancer Centre GP Referral Checklist. This practical resource outlines the key information FCCs need to triage efficiently and arrange initial contact without delay.
