We are proud to share AIDA’s Strategic Plan for 2026–2030, a roadmap grounded in our cultures, our peoples and our collective leadership.
This plan reflects our vision of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples living long, healthy and thriving lives, grounded in culture and Country.
It reaffirms our purpose to strengthen a skilled, dynamic and sustainable medical workforce, and to drive optimal outcomes through Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leadership and effective partnerships.
This strategy outlines a clear set of five goals that provide a clear direction for the next phase of AIDA’s work. It places culturally grounded membership at the centre, strengthening connection, peer support and wellbeing across all career stages.
It deepens our focus on supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander doctors and medical students to thrive, lead and transform systems from within, and strengthens our role in driving health system reform through advocacy, partnerships and national leadership.
The new Strategic Plan also strengthens AIDA as a sovereign and culturally grounded organisation, embedding cultural governance, accountability and sustainable systems, technology and funding to support our long-term strategic goals.
Guided by our values of cultural integrity, self-determination, equity and justice, this plan reflects our collective responsibility to lead meaningful change.
We invite you to find out more about AIDA’s new strategic priorities and engage with this shared work.
