Do you want to learn more about research and how it can create positive change for communities? Have you ever wondered what a PhD involves and whether it could be the right path for you?
If so, the Poche Centre for Indigenous Health Familiarisation Program is for you.
The Poche Centre for Indigenous Health Familiarisation Program is a fully funded two-day workshop designed to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People interested in exploring pathways into higher degree research. Held on Monday 4 May and Tuesday 5 May 2027, the program provides an introduction to Indigenous research methodologies, research career pathways, and the journey towards a PhD. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with peers, academics and mentors, develop research ideas, and gain insight into how research can contribute to improved health, wellbeing and self-determined futures for our communities. The Poche Centre will cover all travel, accommodation, morning tea, lunch, and dinner on Monday evening.
