The National Maternity Workforce Strategy 2026 – 2036 is a key initiative funded as part of the Independent review of Australia’s regulatory settings relating to overseas health (the Kruk review). The Strategy will focus on creating practical and meaningful talent pipeline, recruitment, and retention strategies for all maternity clinicians, including but not limited to midwives, obstetricians, general practitioners, and appropriate allied health practitioners. A consultation survey is currently open until Tuesday, 4 February 2025, should you wish to provide feedback.
