AIDA members reported exceptionally strong satisfaction in the 2025 Member Survey, with results showing significant year‑on‑year growth and reaffirming the value of AIDA’s advocacy, support, and Community.

100% of respondents were satisfied with their overall experience as an AIDA member compared with 84% of respondents in 2024. 

Satisfaction in AIDA’s performance was strong across key areas: 

  • 89% satisfaction for policy and advocacy 
  • 89% satisfaction for member support and advocacy 
  • 96% satisfaction for member engagement and events
  • 93% satisfaction for communication 
  • 79% satisfaction for cultural safety training

Members continue to value AIDA’s advocacy, support, and sense of Community. STSP, conferences, and networking opportunities were mentioned frequently as highlights. Members also appreciate individual support and our culturally safe care. 

There were some clear suggestions for improvement. Many members would like to see more opportunities for connection, including more local events, networking, and ways to meet other members. Some respondents mentioned the need for better support for hospital-based doctors and more accessible mentorship. A few people commented on the importance of timely communication, both emails and calls. There was also feedback about maintaining the “family” feel of AIDA as we grow. 

In summary, members are positive about the work AIDA is doing, especially in advocacy and support and there is a strong appetite for more opportunities to connect and engage.

At the centre of everything we do is our membership, every survey response is a reminder of the importance of our work and the impact it has for our members. These survey results are more than just numbers; they reflect the voices, needs and aspirations of the people who benefit from the work that we do. An extra thank you to our members who took the time to respond, we greatly appreciate it.
